Effie Kilmer is a Chief Data & AI Advisor for Microsoft EMEA, bringing global experience in helping organizations transform their industry with data & AI. She has spent her career helping shape Microsoft’s data governance strategy, working closely with some of the company’s largest customers to drive responsible innovation. Effie is recognized as one of CDO Magazine’s “40 Under 40 Data Leaders” for her contributions to advancing data governance. In 2010, she received the Developing Countries Distinguished Contributor Award for her work in Ghana supporting a micro‑finance farming initiative and helping a women’s community adopt solar ovens. This experience deeply shaped Effie’s commitment to technology as a force for equity. As an Advisor for Greenwizz she has come on to help scale access to solar lamps across local communities in Ghana.
